As Percy Bysshe Shelley (writer of Ozymandius) and Lord Byron, figureheads of the Romanitc Poetry movement now cast as Rosicrucians, merrily cavort in the blissed Arcadia oV – GREAT PAN, Shelley makes appeal to Byron towards the Poet’s duty:
Shelley: “There is a drive in men towards liberty. As poets, it is our duty to turn our faces from the mire, to look up and tell our fellow men that we have seen a better world than this.”
Lord Byron: “I love the world. I love the whole turning, farting, pissing, shitting mess. I’m not so sure I could come up with a better one or even if I’d wish to see it made perfect. What would we write about?… You talk Utopia. But there was not one damned Utopia that did not set its foundations in human suffering and pain. It begins with fancy words but always ends in blood.”
It isn’t difficult to discern the first divergence oV – ethos in Morrison’s own drunken words, distilled upon the lips oV – Byron in the setting Venice sun. It’s a glee akin to Milton – to speak from the Devil (See Paradise Lost). Now the odd thing in this is, despite these extreme and varying points-of-view, we’re informed both Shelley and Lord Byron belong to the Invisible College…”We’re fighting the other side; the forces that want to control people’s lives and keep us asleep forever.”
Dane’s response is juxtaposed against the Romantics: “Well how do I know I’m really one [an Invisible] now? If nobody knows who’s working for who, how do I know I haven’t joined the other side?”
“Jesus! Good question, Jack. Good question.”
The nature, origin, and most importantly, the Mission oV – the Invisibles is now called into question. And It is here and now Morrison begins utilizing the French Revolution as a symbol to promote their own agenda. The Invisibles travel back in time by folding “psychic constructs of [themselves] through from one point on the supersphere [oV – TIME] to another.” And they arrive just in time to see a man’s head lopped off by the guillotine. We are informed that the “Mysteries” oV – this Guillotine are five-fold: 1) It turns the living and the dead into “credits and debts,” 2) Severs “the Head of State from the Body Politic,” 3) Turns mortality into “Theatre,” 4) Converts lives (and their sacrifice) into Theatre “Performances” unto the Goddess oV – Liberty, and 5) Provides entertainment to the Plebians. This shall provide an over-arching theme for the duration oV – this Work.
Morrison then utilizes a throwaway, no-name Magician (likely how they view most Operators oV – the Occult) for an Enochian evocation, stating: Ikzhhkal (Elemental King of Earth), Edlprnaa (Elemental King of Fire), Bataivah (Elemental King oV – Air), Raagios (Elemental King of Water) – making the Invisibles the physical manifestation oV – these Elemental Kings. Now mind you, they give the phonetic spelling so that you do pronounce the names… but this isn’t a true Enochian evocation. The depicted Magician is just stating the names of the Elemental Kings around a circle, with some quite obvious pronunciation errors. I mean, I get it. Enochian is complex. Even Alan Moore got his Enochian backwards, right on the cover of Voice of the Fire. But the letter ceph is pronounced “zoad,” not “zod”… and this is pretty fundamental.* And this depiction of the supposed evocation definitely raises a red flag towards “a dabbler.” I mean, this is a Holy Language and these are Holy Rites. Enochian is the language oV – the Angels. A language that forms the very foundations oV – the Multi-Verse, e’en the City oV – Pyramids (aka the 7th DÆM’ON’z’iON). And dabbling with Enochian is just plain stupid… and dangerous (ref. the Demiurge’s own “Don’t mess with Witchcraft” warning).** But mind you, this is the same writer who thought an appropriate response to John Dee was to simply push him down the stairs in Arkham Asylum (see Batman by Grant Morrison, Part One: Arkham Asylum and the Clown at Midnight).
*This discretion is likely sourced in an article entitled The Enochian Tablets by G. H. Frater, S. A., included in the Complete Golden Dawn Sytem of Magic by Israel Regardie. However, this is the only article which states ceph is pronounced “zod.” In every other case, from Crowley and the O.T.O. to Dr. Dee to every other mention in the Golden Dawn, ceph is pronounced “zoad.”
** In order to properly perform any Enochian evocation, the Tablet oV – Union and Cubic Altar must be constructed (according to the new formula oV – the current ÆON), the 30 ÆThYRz (and the secret 2) must be individually unveiled (ref. Into the ÆThYRz), the pentacles must be forged, the vault must be constructed, the SE7EN Talismans acquired, and the Holy Ring adorned. Drawing a circle on the ground in chalk with some candles is some real comic book “hocus pocus.” If an Enochian evocation is performed prior to this, the first instruction any Magician will receive is for the construction of said tools (see The Complete Mystical Records of Dr. John Dee).

The mention of the “Secret Chiefs” is an indicator that “the Order” being referred to is the Great White Brotherhood, at times known as the Rosicrucians or Brotherhood of the Rosy Cross, making the “enemy” the infamous Black Lodge. Count Cagliostro and St. Germaine are cited as compatriots oV – our “Magician.” But our “Magician” can’t tell exactly whose side he’s on. He even says, “Half the time I don’t even know which side I started out on.”
The Guillotine is utilized as a symbol oV – “the Red Mass” – a “Holy” Babel oV – corpses piled high to reach nigh unto Reason’s Utopia. And a warning is issued to all who would “change the world”: “Let Prometheus beware; he who reaches out to steal fire from the gods must risk burning his fingers.”
These alone are slippery words and associations in Morrison’s grasp. But introducing De Sade as Morrison’s ∴ the Invisibles’ obscur objet du désir… is a subversion literally sadistic.
Morrison leads off in De Sade’s words: “And now dear reader, you must open your heart and mind to the filthiest story told since the world began… for a debauchery taken beyond all limits.”
Why? The immediate question strikes down swift as lightning. Considering your so called “mission” to “change the world,” what good does this actually do?
Immediate answer… absolutely nothing. It does nothing at all for the betterment of humanity, nor our world. The argument for its utilization as a vehicle for non-dual teachings is entirely lopsided, with its end result being the actual legacy oV – Modern India – fakirs putrefying unattached in human faeces, meditating on the perfection oV – their corpse in the Macrocosmic scheme. It is an immediate desecration oV – LIFE. It’s a desecration oV – the Invisible College, the Occult Lineage, the Great Work, and every Magician who came before and all who shall embrace “the virtuous path” to come. It’s an escape. An avoidance. It is cowardice.
I repeat, exactly as we quoth John Dee in the first article:
“How do they have the audacity: How can they justifiably condemn the non-Vulgar studies of the non-Vulgar man. LET JUSTICE BE DONE. Let each get his own due.
The Vulgar, who Pretend to have Knowledge, who not only eagerly pursue the Shadows of the Great Arts, but also defile them and lie about them in a most wicked way. We might attribute this to Foolishness, Delusion, and Lack of Respect.
To bring Violence against the Virtuous and Firmly Grounded Studies of those who have strong moral character and Distinguished integrity (simply because of the petty, False Accusations of the Vulgar) not only brings their Names and their studies into disrepute, but also puts their Lives in danger. This seems to me not only inhuman, but Unjust and almost Sinful” (Sacred Symbol of Onesness, p. 9).
It is a Violation. Straight up. A Violation of Trust, a Violation of Integrity, a Violation of Position, of Voice, of Ethics, of Ethos… it is a violation oV – Magick. And their intentions in this are… most assuredly… malicious.
Benefit of the doubt? Negated.
Gloves off. Now you get the full treatment.
De Sade claims: “I tried to show them where it would all lead. The hypocrisy of the enlightenment. These are monsters bred by the God of Reason. Idealists and Reformers all become executioners in their turn. The road to Utopia always ends with the steps of the scaffold, the endless moment of the guillotine,” attempting to excuse his Words… but then the truth comes out: “I [want] to wreck the world and shit in its ruins.”
And as for Morrison, he presses on into De Sade’s challenge: “Our time here is almost done and I remain unsatisfied. Let me commit the ultimate crime! Would that I might smear my shit across the moon and soil her purity with my filth… and you: if you were given leave to do anything, anything at all with none to judge or punish you, none to say “Enough! No more! How far would you go? Further than we have gone?”
Thus they write The Filth.
Grant Morrison’s The Filth (self-proclaimed sequel to The Invisibles), accessible in the Tunnels oV – SET via the Path oV – the Cenocephalus, is a Convoluted and Revolting Tale oV – Anti-enlightenment, casting Morrison again into a 5th Dimensional projection (akin to King Mob) as an Agent serving the protection oV – the Status: Q. A perusal of this throwaway degenerate garbage, a baptism by unholy and unfiltered excrement, again, yields nothing but the said reinforcement oV – this Status: Q,

Morrison (via King Mob) believes their “exit”/excuse is in seeing “the funny side” – the all famous “big [cosmic] joke.” Honestly sounds like the JOKER.
Now what in all of this, exactly, is funny?
Satire nor Comedy destroy Corruption. They propagate it. You know… there actually is word for this: Propaganda.This is literally its definition. Just imagine if Orwell was laughing hysterically at you from the other side of 1984 and Animal Farm.
The Invisibles isn’t some Holy Anarchical Tell-All oV – the Whistleblowing Defiant – this is hot-blooded, foaming mouth, bleeding-heart support for the Machine – taking the wind out of the sails oV – every noble notion, nor e’er missing opportunity to wallow excessively as the submissive sow in the slop.
I’m very sorry, Mr. Morrison. But it seems it is you who serve the other side. You imagined yourself to be Shelley, but you were Byron, drunk off his ass and high as a kite, all along.* Hearing your glossolalia, you took your angels’ call as an excuse. It’s not an uncommon mistake. I’m sure Goebbels also thought this highly of his “gifts…” right before landing on the wrong side of history.
*Although Byron did actually die fighting for Freedom.
All I can say, “Don’t mess with the Invisibles.”
But oh, the retort: “Poets have a right to vanity and pride; they steal the power of creation from the gods. They remake the world with words and in the image of their dreams. The rest of us must then live in it.”
I don’t want to live in your creation.
You see, here’s where Morrison, and nearly every other Magician since Crowley has gotten everything ass backwards. They confuse the WILL with “Free Sex.” The WILL, and I’m talking about the WILL, the very WILL oV – GOD – the only WILL… is not your penis.* The Revolution is not a sexual revolution. The Thelemites went off the rails here years ago. And it’s why the O.T.O. is more obscure than ever.
*Alan Moore literally uses the word “Will” as a synonym in Voice of the Fire.
Now I’m not saying sex shouldn’t be expressed openly. I’m saying it already is. Look at our world. Watch its media (you obviously already watch its pornography). And listen to any pop song in the last ten years. Morality and sexual expectations are nearly as loose as they’ve ever been. And despite this, the people still live in absolute FEAR. Sex didn’t liberate anyone. In fact, it’s been weaponized against us. Its used for hypnosis. As a distraction. It has eliminated discernment, critical thinking… “Free Sex” (and drugs) has become a System oV – Control.*
*This is not surprising. Aldous Huxley wrote about this openly in Brave New World in 1931, to which Morrison served as an EP for the screen version in 2020’s Peacock adaptation.

Next up in Morrison’s arsenal oV – Mysterious Occult Knowledge is the Revelation oV – Baphomet. Many scholars believe the name “Baphomet” to be a French corruption of Mahomet (Muhammed). But every true Occultist knows its etymological roots signify “the Baptism oV – Mithras.”* Baphomet descends from the Cult oV – Banebjed, and was not only a Title for the O. M. M. oV – the Order, and an Occult symbol oV – the Astral Light, but Baphomet was also a reference to a mysterious artifact, which when viewed by the spiritual seeker, would initiate them into the Truth oV – the CHRIST. Allegedly, this relic was so important, so immediately recognizable, that the Templars believed the Catholic Church would be destroyed in an instant, the Vatican yielded, along with the Papal Armies, once the relic was brought to light.
*Mithras being the Lord oV – LIGHT whom slays the Bull oV – Chaos.
Morrison believes this is the Head of John the Baptist. But why on Earth would the head of John the Baptist be shocking enough for the Catholic Church to yield the Vatican to the Templars at its sight? Everyone knows the head was delivered upon a platter from Herod to Salome. It is even known that the skull identified as John’s is kept and shown openly in the Church of San Silvestro, a Roman Catholic basilica in Rome. It just plain doesn’t make any sense. Alan Moore explores this exact same “Mystery” in Voice of the Fire (published at almost the exact same time in 1996), although Moore exposes the head of the historical Jesus – the true relic oV – the Templars* – the Godhead “severed from the body politic” (The Invisibles). “Do you see the face of our Baphomet; of our praised one before whom the nations of the earth shall surely bow? Look closer” (Voice of the Fire, p. 173, Alan Moore). This Baphomet is exactly Moore’s Voice of the Fire – the same voice that exposed the false metals oV – the Roman Empire… the lies behind every “spiritual” claim. “I shall be dead and nothing shall be left of me but worm and bone. I shall be wiped away, be absent in the endless and insensate dark where no thought comes. I shall not rise into the nave of rebirth, echoing with angel voices, and no more shall any of us, for the Heavens. are become an empty place and dead men do not rise, nor push back stones” (Ibid).
*The actual relic is but still a blind to the uninitiate. To the True Magician, the historicity oV – Jesus matters little in matters of Faith. It’s what the head conceals… yea, e’en IALDABAOTh – the Key to finding the True GRAIL (perhaps Morrison hints at this with his mysterious figure claiming the severed head to conceal “mysteries within mysteries,” but honestly, if Morrison knew they would have told us. Subtlety is not exactly their art). Do remember: Baphomet is but a humorous depiction oV – a false image representing “God, as he is misunderstood” by the ignorant (The Tarot: A Key to the Wisdom of the Ages by Paul Foster Case).
But what Morrison’s ill-conceived (probably in order to beat Moore to print) Baphomet lacks in existential dread, makes up for in kitsch – a sleeping Cthulhu quoting English Pop Bands (under poor associative puns) that simply tells you whatever you want to hear. Despite all of this, Morrison and Moore utilize the “severed head” theme for exactly the same purpose: a symbol for the inevitability oV – loss of faith; Moore in the Divine and Morrison in their calling – to bring to pass “a never-ending party” unto the Children of Men… which brings them back to Lord Byron.
With Shelley now disillusioned, his ecstatic “Vision” causing tragedy within his own family, Byron drives home Morrison’s true beliefs (though I’m sure they’re convinced they’re still the unyielding Shelley):
“Stop chasing that shining city on the horizon. You will only drop down in the dust, exhausted and no closer to its walls… Stop talking to the future, Shiloh.”
“I cannot stop talking to the future. I have so much I must say to the unborn, suffering multitudes. I know where utopia lies. It is here. Where is the love, beauty, and truth we seek but in our mind?”
All that beauty. Right. It’s all in your head… Poets can be so stupid.
To paint his better world, Morrison sets De Sade loose and crucifies a toad. The Crucifixion oV – the Toad is the Ritual performed to invert the Qabalistic Tree oV – LIFE, through DA’ATh, to the averse Tree. Our Demiurge can’t help themselves but go Typhonian and conjure the Qliphoth. They want an even darker tale… a darker world (compare and contrast with the comment on Arkham Asylum, BATMAN by Grant Morrison, Part One: Arkham Asylum and the Clown at Midnight). And for that they turn to Michael Bertiaux‘ Voodoo and loas, which in Morrison’s own words, initiated their “dissolution” and “downward spiral” into “darker magic” (ref. Supergods by Grant Morrison, p. 281-282). In their 3D life, the use of this Magick caused their own hospitalization with “less than forty-eight hours to live,” where Morrison was met by Christ and gave them the choice “to die now of this disease or “serve the light,”” even claiming it “might as well have been [a recruitment] into the Green Lantern Corps” (Ibid.).
So in response (or rather to save their own life), our dear Demiurge utilizes their Magick to offer their own Staph aureus the opportunity to infect the ÆNoMYTh (ie. the Collective Subconscious or “The Matrix”) rather than their own body. “I [then] wrote King Mob’s recovery into The Invisibles, spelling myself out of my own predicament by restoring the fiction suit (5D projection) to full health. If he could survive this and be stronger, so, naturally, would I. I’d made a magical model of the world, and by tweaking the model, I could seem to be able to effect actual changes in the real world” (Ibid.).
Now that’s definitely a statement oV – Ethos. And we must take it for what it is… that in summation, being gifted the ability to “effect actual changes in the real world,” Morrison utilizes their power and Magick to improve their own personal life at the expense oV – the Collective. And to be honest, this seems to perfectly match their M.O. throughout their body of Work, starting in Arkham Asylum (ref. Batman by Grant Morrison, Part One: Arkham Asylum and the Clown at Midnight).
“All of it went into the comics. Every breakthrough. Every breakdown, became art and dollars… I felt like a prophet. I looked in the mirror, and there was King Mob grinning back…I had become invisible. I was King Mob, International Man of Mystery, the James Bond of the counterculture, hanging out with sleek girls in vinyl, backstage with indie bands… My world and his drawn universe had blurred at the edges, and blended together… [now] I was really able to enjoy myself… I wrote the kind of girls I wanted to meet into The Invisibles, and they’d turn up a few weeks later to defy all my expectations… For a few years, the lovely things of he world synchronized into place all around me like a fish in a shiny shoal. The world seemed made just for my tastes because I was writing it that way…” (Ibid.).
Mind you, this is an individual that compares themselves to Gandhi.
I think you get my point. So let’s get back to it.
Morrison then conjures Baron Samedi, a King of the Scorpion loa – which nearly killed them via voodoo, then sets their sights upon a much bigger fish, yielding an opportunity to relate a quite telling trip through a Mexican Bruja Initiation Rite, establishing the blueprint for Initiation (via Lord Fanny’s backstory) throughout entire body oV – their Work. And without fail, the Rite is claimed by Tlazolteotl – the Goddess oV – Filth.
Lord Fanny explains, “I understand the secret of magic. There is only one day. There is only ever one day and it is today, the Day of Nine Dogs, the Day of Magicians, the Day of Initiations. Today will always be the Day of Nine Dogs… and Tzlazolteotl says, “I have made you strong and wise. And incorruptible. I have shown you the worst there is and made you free. Tlazolteotl, who mated with a Jaguar and brought forth Quetzalcoatl, who seduced the virtuous hermit into sin. You who are Mystery and Redemption. You who teach Witchcraft and forgive all who fall… I will take all the filth of the world and turn it into the purest gold. I will rise from darkness, shining like the Morning Star”…
…and then tells a dead baby joke…
The Invisibles by Grant Morrison, The Hubris oV – King Mob
Look… I get the joke and why Morrison uses it here. I get why it could be considered funny… even poignant. But just as Morrison stated: “The most pernicious image of all is that of the anarchist hero figure. A creation of commodity culture, he allows us to buy into an inauthentic simulation of revolutionary praxis.” Well this image is even more dangerous when utilized to suggest a sense of humor as “an exit.” Because underneath what is being printed on the page, what’s really being said here in Lord Fanny’s (the first transgender individual to ever be featured as a hero in comic books) Initiation is that “Life (and Magick) are futile… It’s an endless merry-go-round through “a farting, shitting mess” where everyone gets raped, over and again, until they die.” Thus the stillborn is the lucky one… to be excused from Life… to have “an exit” from the pain. There’s a deep, existential dread hidden beneath Morrison’s jokes. And some very obvious unhealed trauma. I honestly believe that something quite horrible must have happened to them amidst their “never-ending party” (even scarier for them than the hospitalization), and they (whether subconsciously or consciously) are trying to work it out within these pages.
Underneath it all, Morrison is attempting to justify “Initiation” (the trauma) as the Source of their Power. Like BATMAN returning again and again to Crime Alley… honoring the moment that gave him his Mission and his Purpose. But hidden beneath this is the True Lesson oV – Zur-en-Arrh, as we shall soon see. And what makes BATMAN the hero we all deserve.
